does the video have?The music belongs to the genre of indie rock, the characteristics of the music video to indie rock is a raw and unexpensive music video.
2. What is the relationship between lyrics and visuals?
● Work through the song and identify ways
in which the lyrics are illustrated or
amplified or even contradicted by the
visuals.Throughout the song mainly during the chorus, the lyrics are exactly conveyed into the visuals. They just keep it normal so there are no special effects or there are no big pyros or mad things through the video, the lyrics say 'Cos if one day you wake up and find that you're missing meAnd your heart starts to wonder where on this earth I could beThinking maybe you'd come back here to the place that we'd meetAnd you'd see me waiting for you on the corner of the streetSo I'm not movingI'm not movingIn the music video they are really sat on a corner.

● Does the video cut to the beat?Yes the video cuts to the beat everytime the beat gets a bit faster it changes at the same pace, when the drum beats gets faster the beat of the visuals goes with it.

the video?yes when you hear a solo part the video cuts back to the instruments being played normally a zoomed in shot of the instrument rather than the player.

music? At some parts the music video changes pace with the music video.

● How is the record company looking to sell
this track?The music company are trying to sell this track as a raw track with a no tricks raw music video so people enjoy listening to the music and enjoy watching the video that is being offered to them.

offered?There is a raw look to the band something that you don’t see much with music bands or artists. The band just look like normal people and are singing about a normal life which everyone else leads. You see them with normal people on normal streets.

videos by the artist?this music video is similar to the other videos made by the band and the music company, the band appear the same and they have the same sort of video.

previously? Or does this video represent a
change of image?The video doesn’t have any motifs and there are no changes of image the band are portrayed in the same way.

looking?
● Do you get the sense that the artist is on
sexual display or that other people in the
video are used in this way?There are no sexual references in the video there are just the members of the band

something else imply sexualised display?No, he has lost the person he loves so there are no sexual references

binoculars, cameras, etc?Yes, you see a news crew and the lead singer appearing on the television
